My First Fairyloot Unboxing: April

I have wanted to try out a subscription box for such a long time and always talked myself out of it. This past month I decided why not treat myself to the April box after I got the email that there was a limited amount back in stock.

It came so much quicker than I thought it would and so I spent the Thursday it was delivered waiting impatiently. I can tell you it was well worth the money and the waiting. My cats also loved the paper stuffing inside and I am still finding pieces around my house.

The first thing I saw in the box was the tea strainer which was in the shape of a black cat. I have a black cat, so I think I loved this item the best. She was also very confused on the tiny plastic cat I was holding in my hands. She’s one of those cats that thinks that she can be the only black cat in the world.

Then I saw the Philosopher’s Stone bar of soap which is so pretty. The only problem is that I can’t use it because of sensitive skin. I also loved the small notebook based off of Children of Smoke and Bone because I also need more notebooks (i.e. I really don’t). We also received a pin based off the series A Curse so Dark and Lonely which is on my TBR for next month.

My second favorite thing in the box is the book sleeve. I have a small one, but it doesn’t hold hardcovers so I was super excited to get this one. Plus it was a Darker Shade of Magic inspired and I had just finished reading the first book. Then, the tote bag based off of the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo is so gorgeous and I honestly can’t wait to use it.

We also got two tarot cards inspired by Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows duology which was so pretty. This duology has been on my TBR for so long and I will hopefully get to it soon.

Then we finally got to the book of the month, Nocturna by Maya Motayne. It’s a Latinx fantasy where the roles are reversed and magic is aplenty. Our main characters are the prince Alfie and the thief Finn, who is a woman. They both use magic for different things, but they end up unleashing something that will take them on an adventure. I can’t wait to pick up this book and start reading it next month.

I’m definitely going to be ordering more boxes from them. I might wait a little bit before doing it though, but I really loved the experience I got with this one. I also got mostly items that I would use.
